Red Days are basically the equivalent of a bank holiday in the United Kingdom. Spanish red days are taken much more seriously than a Bank Holiday.

You will almost all shops will be completely closed on a red day. This includes local shops and larger stores along with all the major super markets.

Bars and restaurants are often open but may have a later opening or earlier close time.

Make sure you have basics that you may need for a red day especially if 2 fall with 3 days.

Many shops will not open if a 2 red days fall on for example on a Tuesday if a red day is on a Monday and a Wednesday. This means you may go without for 3 days.
