Habaneras Shopping Centre Torrevieja - A Local Guide to Shops, Food and Entertainment
If you spend any amount of time in Torrevieja, sooner or later you will probably end up at the Habaneras Shopping Centre. Whether you need a few things for the house, a new outfit, or simply need somewhere to escape the heat for an hour or two, it has become one of the town’s most popular places to shop.
Located just a few minutes from the centre of Torrevieja, close to the N-332, Habaneras offers much more than a collection of shops. Spread over 3 floors many Spanish residents and holidaymakers, find it a convenient place to spend part of the day, combining shopping, food and entertainment all in one location.
Where is Habaneras Shopping Centre?
Habaneras is located just off the N-332, and the CV-905 on Avenida Rosa Mazón Valero. It is easy to reach from Ciudad Quesada, Orihuela Costa, Guardamar and many of the surrounding areas.
There is plenty of free parking available, both outside and in covered areas, which makes it convenient for anyone arriving by car. Local buses also stop nearby, and many visitors combine a shopping trip with a visit to the Cinema and some 10-pin Bowling.
Everything is close by. You can spend plenty of time here, without needing to move the car or jumping on public transport.
What Shops Are in Habaneras?
The selection changes from time to time, but the centre usually includes a good mix of fashion, sports, beauty and home stores.
There are many popular clothes shops including JD sports, Koala Bay, Zara, C&A, Game, and other brands. The is also a small Leeroy Merlin, alongside shoe shops, accessory stores, and children’s toy stores. There are also places to buy gifts, mobile phones, and everyday essentials.
The shopping centre is also very close to the Carrefour supermarket, making it a great place for combining weekly shopping with a more relaxed visit to the stores and cafés.
Restaurants and Cafés
Shopping usually works up an appetite, and Habaneras has plenty of places to stop for a drink or something to eat.
Inside the Centre there is a few restaurants where you can stop and have a meal. Fosters Hollywood, El Rincon and Casa Carmen are the 3 main restaurants that are located on the top floor.
If it is a little to early for a full on meal you also have the choice of having tapas or there are a couple of independent Cafes.
Entertainment
You are not short of things to do at the Habaneras centre., recently they opened a small Ozone city, which has amusements and games for all ages.
If you cross the road you also have a Cinema that shows all the latest films and some are also played in English.
Opposite the Cinema you have another Ozone with more amusements and 10 pin bowling alleys. Technically yes the last 2 are not in the shopping centre, they are so close they may as well be.
Is Habaneras Good for Families?
Personally I would say the centre is really good for families. There is lots for children of all ages to do whether it be bowling at Ozone or for the really young kids zipping about in the electric cars that can be rented for them to get about in around the centre.
Is it worth a visit?
Absolutely, it does get very busy at times and can feel a little over crowded when it is very busy. But on the whole you will be able to find almost anything you may need with the selection of shops.
I have spent an evening here many times and with the bowling and Cinema just across the road it gives people something to do instead of just sitting in another bar for the night.
Parking
There is parking under the centre and is free from 8:30am – 1am, Monday – Saturday.
On Sundays it is open from 11:00am – 1am.
There is also parking in the Carrefour car Park which is also free and under the Ozone bowling however for some reason this is paid parking.
